Therapy and Assessments for Children and Families


Work with children and families may include:

  • Clinical assessment and diagnosis of children’s difficulties
  • Psychotherapy for a variety of difficulties including
    • Anxiety
    • Depression
    • Anger Management
    • Sibling rivalry
    • Low self-esteem
    • Bullying
  • Support and counselling of parents and caregivers
  • Assessments, including
    • IQ testing
    • ADHD
    • Initial screening for difficulties with reading, spelling and maths
    • Emotional profile
    • Visual perception and motor coordination

The choice of therapy would be attuned to the child’s particular needs and may include play-therapy or cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT).
